COLLECTING RUBBISH On Sunday afternoon at 4 pm when our workshops started, we all separated into 8 groups. Our task was to collect rubbish and one member in the group had to do a survey on everything that the group found. We put all the rubbish that we found into plastic bags. Things that we found were batteries, pieces of broken glass, plastic bags, pegs, sponges, paper, chocolate wrappers, tin cans, bottles and many other things which didn’t belong there. When we finished collecting rubbish, we met together again and counted the quantity of each category (plastic, glass, paper, food scraps etc…). The total amount of items found was 632 pieces. When we finished counting we took the rubbish to the tip. With this little task which we were given, we concluded that nature itself could be a lot better if people wouldn’t neglect it so much. People don’t care, but littering or doing harm to our environment doesn’t just affect our habitat it affects us too.
