Report from “Eurocamp ‘01”

(Prišćapac - 25.05 untill 01.06.2001.)

 

       After particepating for two years on international camp on Balaton lake, this year High school Blato has taken over the organisation of Eurocamp. This year the camp was in shorter form because teachers and students from Germany and Luxemburg were unable to come. 40 students accompanied with two teacher came from Eotvos Joszef Gimnasium from Budapest, Hungary to Pri{}apac.

       According to their interest and work in different school projects, but also considering their school accomplisments and discipline, 14 students from our school came to participate in Eurocamp 2001. There were: Mileva Milat, Bojana Oreb, Ivan Pirović, Ante Bačić, Maja Šeparović, Antonela Petković (I G), Almir Arnautović (II G), Jasmina Arnautović, Kristina Baltić, Ana Mašković, Marija Cetinić, Frano Žaknić, Marin Žanetić (III G), Danijela Damjanović (I P).

       During April and May students were preparing for paricipating in different workshops thet were held there: Our school organized 3 workshops:

- Biocenosis of Adriatic sea - that was prepared and guided by dipl.inž.. Dubravka Cetinić with the help from Ivan Pirović, Ante Bačić Ana Mašković, Almir Arnautović and Marin Žanetić.

- Mediterenien Flora - that was prepared and guided by prof. Marela Donjerković with a help from Antonela Petković, Danijela Damjanović, Mileva Milat, Frano Žaknić

- Renewable energy - that was prepared and guided by prof. Ivana Biško with a help from Kristina Baltić, Marija Cetinić, Bojana Oreb.

- Hungarian profesor guided workshop “Visual Art” in which Maja Šeparović and Jasmina Arnautović participated.

Preparations were made by specialy organized lesons with modern approach with different  sites for work, methods and forms of work. They were interdisciplinar through most of school subjects especialy English, German, Chemistry, Biology, Phisics, Art.

         Soon after they arrived in the afternoon students were accomodated - together Hungarian and Croatian students so in the begining intensive comunication sterted. Students from Hungary were divided in  4 workshops, 10 in each group.

 

The program for all teachers and students was made.

25. May. - arrival to Priscapac

-         accomodation in appartments, free afternoon

-         dinner, sleeping

 

26. May. - Workshops in the morning and afternoon, inbetween swiming

-         after dinner, trip to Blato

-         Evening of National music

-         going out

 

27. May - Trip to Hvar

          - after lunch rest and swiming

         - dinner

 

28. May 

         - Workshop in the morning and in the afternoon

         - dinner

 

29. May       

         - Workshop in the morning and in the afternoon

         - dinner

 

30. May

     - going to Dubrovnik

-         sightseeing (church St. Vlaho, old town, cathedral, convent “Mala Braca”) with a tour guide

-         coming back from Dubrovnik to the camp around 17.00

-         dinner

 

31. May

-         workshop in the morning, lunch

-         workshop presentation

-         Disco evening (Buy, buy party)

 

01. June

-         swimming

-         lunch

-         a goodbye from Hungarian friends

 

     On the last evening in eurocamp all the workshops presented their work in the presence of the headmaster of the High School Blato. Presentetion was very succsesfull and it is agreed that the camp will continue next year with the same workshops and school participants again on Prišćapac, Croatia.

As a part of this school project High school Blato associated with County Blato, Drogstore Blato, Radež d. d., Ambulance “Ante Franulović” Vela Luka, “Vodovod” Blato.
